| Place the background scene onto V1 and the mask into V2. You can use Photoshop or the FCP Text Generator to create the mask. Place the pattern on V3. To mask the scene in V3 using the black areas from V2, select the Pattern in V3 and change its composite mode via the pull-down menu (Modify / Composite Mode) to Travel Matte-Luma. |  |
